About the Artist

My name is Phoebe and I am the owner of the idle hands that make bitterroot&brass possible. I spent the first 20ish years of my life in San Diego. After working as a hairstylist for about 5 years I decided to head out on an adventure. I packed up my life and moved up to Alaska for 4 summer seasons and then would spend my winters trekking, exploring and climbing in South America and Asia. It was in Thailand where I met my partner. We settled in the Methow Valley 9 years ago and have since grown our family and built a life here in Winthrop, Washington. Bitterroot&brass grew out of a love of nature and a need to get more creative. When I am not crafting jewelry you can find me in my salon, running through the mountains or spending time with my family and fur babies.
